Claire Sibley of Roanoke is inducted in to Beta Gamma Sigma

Roanoke, VA resident Claire Sibley was one of thirty-five students recently inducted into the James Madison University chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. Sibley is majoring in Accounting and is scheduled to graduate in May 2014.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that provides the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate of graduate program at an AACSB International accredited school. BGS celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2013. The JMU chapter received its charter on April 28, 1983.

Potential members are invited based on high scholastic achievement in business subjects. To be eligible for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, a student must have an academic ranking in the upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class and the upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class.
