Fredricksburg resident assists in filming of stained glass documentary

Taylor Wev partnered with James Madison University faculty, staff and community volunteers to create a documentary film that traces the history of stained glass windows in the Shenandoah Valley.

Wev, a 2015 Media, arts and design major at JMU, was one of two JMU students to volunteer for the project, titled "Stained Glass Windows of the Shenandoah Valley." The hour-long documentary showcases historically significant windows in 20 locations throughout the region.

"I have never done anything on this level," said Wev. "It helped me learn how a documentary is produced and to build my skills further."

The documentary film will be broadcast on local public television station WVPT on Oct. 9.
