Kate Whitmire of Alexandria Named to CAA All-Championship Team

Helping JMU to its first Colonial Athletic Association Championship since 2000, Kate Whitmire of Alexandria was named to the CAA All-Championship team.

With 12 kills over two matches, nine coming in the title game alone, Whitmire earned All-Championship team honors. Whitmire added five blocks and a total of 15.0 points for JMU.

The Dukes begin the 2016 NCAA Tournament on Friday, Dec. 2 when James Madison faces Sun Belt Champion Coastal Carolina at 4:30 p.m. inside Carmichael Arena at Chapel Hill, N.C.
