Students Serve Others through Alternative Spring Break 2014
Almost 300 JMU students embarked on 30 alternative spring break trips around the country and world this year. The students spent the week servicing others in their destination community while staying focused on teamwork and reflection within their group. Students practiced living simply and were fully submerged in the culture of their surrounding.

ROTC Students Compete in Sandhurst Military Skills Competition
An elite team of eleven Duke Battalion cadets, called The Ranger Challenge Team, represented JMU at the 2014 Sandhurst Military Skills Competition at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in April 2014. The team finished 24th out of 57 teams.
